Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Param Bakers collects, why, who we share it with and how you can have it deleted. It covers our website parambakers.in and the Param Bakers Android app.

Who we are

What we collect

Mobile number – to sign you in with a one-time code sent on WhatsApp, and to reach you about your order.
Order details – your name, email, delivery address and pincode, the items you buy, and any gift note or cake message you write.
Payment details – payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank password. We keep the payment reference, amount, method and, for UPI, your UPI ID.
Messages you send us – the name, email, phone and message from our contact form.
Technical data – your IP address, used to stop spam, fraud and repeated sign-in attempts.
Location (app only) – if you allow it, the app reads your phone's location once to fill in your delivery address. The coordinates are sent to Google Maps to look up the address and stay on your phone; we do not track your location.
Push notifications (app only) – if you allow notifications, the app registers a device token with OneSignal so we can send order and offer alerts. You can turn this off in your phone settings at any time.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, files or any data from other apps.

Cookies and storage

We use one essential cookie that keeps you signed in and protects our forms. Your cart and any coupon code are saved in your own browser so they survive a refresh. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To take, prepare, deliver and support your orders.
To send sign-in codes, order confirmations and updates by WhatsApp or email.
To answer your questions and handle refunds.
To keep the shop secure and prevent fraud and spam.
To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

Only with the services that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:

Razorpay – to process payments and refunds.
WhatsApp (Meta) – through our messaging provider, to deliver sign-in codes and order messages.
Delivery and courier partners – your name, phone and address, to deliver your order.
Hostinger – which hosts our website and database, and our email provider, which delivers our emails.
Google Fonts – our pages load their typeface from Google, which receives your IP address when you visit.
Google Maps – turns your location into an address in the app, if you allow location.
OneSignal – app push notifications, if you allow them.
Government authorities – when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your account, saved addresses and wishlist – until you delete your account.
Orders and invoices – up to 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. If you delete your account we remove your name, email, address and notes from them.
Sign-in codes – expire after 10 minutes and are deleted within a day.
Security logs – deleted after 60 days.
Contact form messages – until we have dealt with them; ask us and we will delete them.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and personal data yourself at parambakers.in/delete-account. Confirm your mobile number with a WhatsApp code and it is deleted immediately. You can also email Parambakers@gmail.com or call 096530 09100 and we will do it for you within 7 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Write to us at Parambakers@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer take orders from you.

How we protect it

Our site runs only over HTTPS. Sign-in codes are single-use and expire quickly, passwords and payment keys are stored encrypted, and only staff who need order details can see them.

Children

Our shop is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

Grievance officer

For any complaint about your personal information, contact our Grievance Officer at Param Bakers, Main Bazar, Lahori Gate, Patiala, Punjab 147001; email Parambakers@gmail.com; phone 096530 09100. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For anything else, contact us.
